ARM Ethics Committee Regulations

Article 1 (Purpose):

These regulations provide rules for the composition and operation of the Ethics Committee (referred to as "Committee") of the Annals of Rehabilitation Medicine (referred to as "ARM"), the scholarly journal of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Article 2 (Composition):

1. The Director of Publication from the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine shall serve as chairperson of the committee ex officio.

2. The Committee consists of the following members:

- ARM's editor-in-chief
- ARM's ethics editor
- ARM's associate editors
- ARM's section editors
- Legal and ethics director from the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine

Article 3 (Term):

The terms of the chairperson and members shall be two years from the appointment date and shall be the same as those of the executive board of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Article 4 (Mission):

The Committee is responsible for the following matters:

1. Matters concerning research ethics and publication ethics of articles submitted or published in ARM.
2. Research activities to enhance ethical awareness in academic journals.
3. Consultation on the research ethics and publication ethics of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine.
4. Other matters deemed necessary by the chairperson or two or more members.

Article 5 (Meeting):

The committee meetings shall be divided into regular and temporary meetings. Regular meetings shall be convened once a year, and temporary meetings shall be convened when the chairperson deems their necessity.

Article 6 (Decision):

A majority of the incumbent members must attend the committee meetings. Decisions must be approved by a majority of the members present and rejected if there is a tie in votes.

Article 7 (Supplementary Provision):

Matters not discussed in these regulations shall be proposed by the Committee and determined by the Board of Directors of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Additional Clause

Article 1 (Enforcement Date):: This regulation shall be enforced on the date of approval by the Board of Directors of the Korean Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine.
